This week’s Supplement King Female Athlete of the Week is Alex Woods of the women’s hockey team.
Woods, a 2nd Team AUS All-Star from last season, has maintained her impressive form from previous seasons. The 4th year defender had a two-point weekend for the Tommies as they went 1-1 to open play in the second semester. She scored her 7th goal of the season, tops among AUS defenders.
She would finish the weekend +3 with nine shots on goal.
“Woodsy had a big game against Dal,” said Tommies head coach, Peter Murphy. “She really picked her spots to attack against them, whereas I found against UdeM, she was always in attack mode. She’s better when she rides on the flow of the game and goes when she sees she can go.”
