Nikita McCartney, a second-year striker/midfielder from Moncton, NB is September’s Coastal Graphics Athlete of the Month.
McCartney has been a consistent goal scoring threat for the women’s soccer team, scoring goals in every game except the season opener. She leads the ACAA with 12 goals in 8 games this season and is a big part of the Tommies being ranked 12th in the country.
“Nikita was an offensive powerhouse this September,” said head coach Michelle DeCourcey. “Her combination of skill, speed and drive to score is one of a kind in the ACAA. She was successful in outworking and outwitting every defensive line in the league.”
The Tommies sit atop the standings of the ACAA with an undefeated record of 7-0-1.
The Tommies have four games left in the regular season before ACAA Championships at Mount Saint Vincent University on October 27-28.
