Women’s Basketball @ CU 6:00pm
Crandall enters this matchup one game behind Holland College for the final playoff spot in the ACAA with the regular season winding down. The Tommies have taken the previous two matchups against Crandall by an average score of 36 points.
Women’s Hockey @ SMU 7:00pm
The AUS leading Tommies jumped back up to #5 in the country this week and will face off against a tough St. Mary’s team who currently sit third in the AUS standings, three points ahead of UNB and four points behind StFX. The Tommies hold a four-point edge over second place X and will look to inch closer to clinching home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
Men’s Basketball @ CU 8:00pm
The Tommies have six games remaining this season and are currently hanging onto the last playoff spot in the ACAA. The Tommies and Chargers have had two incredible matchups so far this season; a 102-99 overtime win for the Chargers, followed by an 82-66 Tommies win a week later.
Saturday, February 2nd
Men’s and Women’s Track @ ANB Indoor Championships, Oromocto, NB
In what is their last scheduled event before the AUS Championships in Moncton later this month, the Tommies will look to close in on personal bests and see where they stand against some AUS opponents.
Women’s Basketball @ UKC 3:00pm
The Tommies are closing in on clinching a first round bye and have had a pair of close matchups against UKC earlier this season, a 56-54 victory, followed by a 57-45 win.
Women’s Volleyball vs DAL AC 3:00pm @ LB Gym
Having clinched their playoff spot, it is now a matter of who the Tommies will face in the playoffs. They are currently sitting in 5th and will face a DAL AC team that has had a hard time coming by wins this season.
Men’s Basketball @ UKC 5:00pm
With the Tommies sitting just in front of the Blue Devils in the standings this game is as close to a must win as they come. These two teams have split their previous matchups with the blue Devils winning the first matchup 86-81 and then the Tommies rallied to get a 93-66 victory in the last matchup.
Men’s Volleyball vs HC 5:00pm @ LB Gym
The Tommies remain the cream of the ACAA crop with a 9-1 record, but the ACAA’s leader in kills, Brett Butler, will be in town with the Hurricanes in what will be a rematch of last year’s ACAA finals.
Sunday, February 3rd
Women’s Hockey vs MTA 2:00 @ Grant-Harvey Centre
The Tommies have four losses on the season, the exact amount of wins the Mounties have coming into this weekend. You would think that says everything you need to know about this matchup, but one of the Tommies losses and one of the Mounties wins came in the same game, back on October 21st, a 3-2 Mt. A win.
Men’s Volleyball vs USA 2:00pm @ LB Gym
Last weekend the Tommies took two matches against the Dragons in Church Point, NS, but that wasn’t without USA jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the second matchup before the Tommies came back for the five-set win.
