The St. Thomas University Tommies topped the Mount Allison Mounties 29-7 in men's rugby action Friday night at Scotiabank Park South.

The Tommies took an early 7-0 lead and added another try for a 12-0 advantage at the break.

In the second half, the Tommies picked up where they left off, scoring another converted try. The Mounties countered in the next sequence to cut their deficit to 17-7, but the Tommies crossed the try line twice more before the final whistle for their first win of the season.
