Tommies Bested 39-5 by Panthers in Fredericton

The St. Thomas University Tommies fell to the University of Prince Edward Island 39-5 in men's rugby action Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Park South.

The Tommies took an early lead, scoring a try in the 17 minute to go up 5-0.

The Panthers responded scoring six unanswered tries in the match, which gave them a commanding lead over the Tommies. Despite their effort, the Green and Gold were unable to close the gap.

The Tommies are back in action this Friday when they visit the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville.
