SEASON RECAP: Young Tommies Show Growth in 2017-2018

The St. Thomas University Tommies men's rugby team showed growth over the course of the 2017-2018 season.

The STU squad, under new head coach Curtis Lauzon, finished the regular season with a record of 2-4 missing an opportunity to compete in the New Brunswick Final for the first time in two years.

Despite the results on the score board, the Green and Gold demonstrated steady improvement and closed the gap on first-place UNB in their final game of the year.

This edition Tommies were young—19 of their 29 players were in their first or second year—and those returning next season will be looking to build on the foundation that was laid in this year's campaign.
