Tommies Drop 5-0 Decision to Hurricanes

The St. Thomas Tommies fell to the reigning ACAA champion Holland College Hurricanes by a score of 5-0 on Saturday afternoon at Scotiabank Park South.

After a scoreless first half, the Hurricanes scored three goals in less than 20 minutes for a comfortable 3-0 lead. In the 85 minute, a penalty kick was awarded to the Hurricanes after Striker Jatly Jardine was taken down in the 18 yard box. He would capitalize and score in the 89 minute as well to lead the Hurricanes in scoring for the match with two goals.

For most of the game, play was held in the Tommies end or contained in the midfield.

The Tommies resume play on Sunday, September 25 when the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams are in town to face the Tommies.
