The St. Thomas University Tommies men's soccer team has added more scoring power for the 2018-2019 season.

Benson Osajie, a skilled winger from Brampton, ON, has committed to join the STU squad this fall.  

"I chose St. Thomas because it a great school that I can see as a fundamental place to continue with my sports career and my interest in the Liberal Arts. The staff treats you like family which is always important to my morale, so I know my next 4 years here will be exceptional ," Osajie said.  

Originally from Benin City, Nigeria, he is a product of St. Edmund Campion Secondary School, an OFSAA AAA powerhouse and competed for Brampton City United FC.

"I am very excited about Benson choosing St Thomas for the next step in his academic and athletic journey," Tommies head coach John-Ryan Morrison said. "This has been our best recruiting offseason since I took over and I'm confident that, along with our other great recruits, Benson's pace, creativity and history of winning will get us back into the playoffs." 

Oasjie hopes to bring a fast-pace attack with a knack of scoring and creating goals. "I promise to give it my all along with my fellow teammates to earn something I love to receive - championships".
