Choiniere's Choice to Join Tommies Soccer Easy

The Tommies Men's Soccer team continues to bolster the backline with the addition of Samuel Choinière who will head to Fredericton after a short stint at Cegep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Coach John-Ryan Morrison adds another Division 2 RSEQ player after landing Will Benoit from the same Géants squad for last year's ACAA Championship.

Samuel is excited to see the East Coast and joining a top program in the Atlantic circuit.  "I want to help the team with the best of my ability and win more titles" mentions the defender.

He has championship experience, helping his team win the Provincial Championship in the Fall of 2021.

Coach Morrison is excited to bring a winner into a winning program.

"I am very excited that Samuel has joined our program. He is a prototypical centreback that is physically strong and good in the air but I was also impressed with his communication skills and his ability on the ball."

Recapturing the ACAA title will not be easy this season, but Morrison knows he's added a solid piece to the puzzle.  "Samuel will offer us so great tactical versatility and much needed height from set pieces. He is going to be great for us."

Choinière is the 9th addition for the Men's Soccer program for this Fall, joining Nikolas Landry, Elias Stiphout, Avery Webster, Alec Wells, Nathan Bellemare, Jason Scott, Luca Foianesi and Matthew Oprea.
