Results from AUS Track and Field Championships

The St. Thomas Tommies had a weekend of personal bests at the Atlantic University Sport Track and Field Championships. 

Jonathan Gionet was the Tommies' top performer, bringing home a silver medal in shot put with a throwof 14. 66 meters. Gionet currently holds the provincial shot put record and was14th in the national rankings—the highest ranking in the program's history.

Will Leek set a new university record in the triple jump, placing 8th with a jump of 10.34 meters. 

The men's 4*200 relay team of Leek, Paul NozickaBryden Dunphy, and Zachary Lakes broke the previous STU record by two seconds with a time of 1:43.99. 

Nozicka, one of the Tommies top runners, had a solid final showing of his AUS career with a 7th place finish in the 1000 meters and a 13th place finish in the 600. 

In the final standings, the men finished 7th.
