A Weekend of Personal Bests for Tommies at SMU Open

It was a weekend of personal bests for the St. Thomas University Tommies track team at the Saint Mary's Open in Halifax.

Connor Coelho set two personal benchmarks at the event—a 1:36.81 finish in the 600m and a 41.43 in the 300m.

On the women's side, Chelsey Hall followed suit with personal bests of 45.51 in the 300m and 1:42.69 in the 600m. Kelly Brennan and Hannah Clarke also set new personal standards in the 300m, crossing the line at 49.37 and 46.32, respectively.

Sarah Hickman finished the 300m race in 45.43, Brynn Gilmour crossed the line at 47.81, and Grace Baker followed at 48.29.

Alaina Mejia continued her strong performance in the long-distance events with a new personal best of 5:51.97 in the 1500m.

The Tommies are back in action February 24 at the Atlantic University Sport Championships hosted at the Université de Moncton.
