Men's Track on Pace to Better Results

“Improve our overall team score at AUS Championships.”

That is the goal St. Thomas University Tommies track head coach, Nicholas Larade, has set for his men’s track team ahead of the 2019-20 season.

The Tommies have four returners from last year’s team in sprinters Tristan Sutherland and Patrice Cammarano, and distance runners Ryan Terry and Lars Schwarz. Joining them this year will be sprinter Kirklin Robichaud, and distance runners Alexander Gallant, Tristan Eisnor, and soccer player Ravtej Singh.

“Returning sprinters Tristan and Patrice should continue their solid work from last season, while rookie Kirklin Robichaud has a strong background and will likely challenge several STU records,” said Larade. “Lars and Ryan will be strong figures in our distance events as well.”

Larade is looking forward to his team compete, as he feels he has a well-rounded group this year.

“We have a small, strong core of sprinters as well as a good pack of long-distance event specialists that should work well together in training.”

The Tommies will open their track season on November 23rd when they travel to Saint John, NB for the opening meet.
