The St. Thomas University Tommies defeated the Universite Sainte-Anne Dragons 3-0 in ACAA men's volleyball action Sunday morning at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

The set scores were 25-8, 25-11, and 25-12.

The match marked the final regular season home game for the Tommies with the ACAA championships taking place next weekend in Halifax.

The Tommies jumped out to a quick start, recording nine points before the Dragons got on the board. That set the tone for the opening set and allowed the Tommies to cruise to a 25-8 win.

The Tommies offence overpowered the Dragons' defence in the second set—they boasted a .318 conversion rate compared to the Dragons' -.179—on route to a 2-0 lead in the match.

It was much of the same in the final set as the Tommies took an early lead and never looked back.

Leading the way for the Tommies was Steph Blinn, who recorded 18 points on 15 kills.

Anthony Jacques led the Dragons, scoring eight points on seven kills.

The Tommies are back in action next weekend at the  ACAA Volleyball Championships hosted by Dalhousie Agricultural College.
