Tommies Drop CCAA Placement Match to SAIT Trojans

The ACAC champion SAIT Trojans scored their first win at the CCAA national championship with a four set victory over the ACAA champion St Thomas Tommies; 23-25, 25-23, 25-23 and 25-23.

The Trojans had a balanced attack with eight players recording at least one kill led by Tyler Latu'ila's 12 and Riley Grusing's 10.  The player of the match was Mark Anderson with nine kills, two aces, five digs and he had a block.

The young Tommies' team learned some valuable lessons from their nationals experience.  They were led by the player of the match Christian Christie with 12 kills, three digs and a block.  Garrett Dickson meanwhile collected 10 kills and had six blocks.

The Trojans will finish seventh and the Tommies eighth following this CCAA placement match.
