Tommies Stave Off Hungry Seawolves For 3-2 Victory

(Fredericton, NB) The St. Thomas University Tommies men's volleyball team won a nail biter versus the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves, 3-2 to end the semester off with a 7-0 record.

It was a back and forth match all game going straight to the fifth set. The Tommies ended the match having three players with over 10 kills.

Christian Christie (Langley, BC) of the Tommies led the way with 17 kills, followed by Ryan Dickson (Miramichi, NB) with 12, and Nathan Brown (Fredericton, NB) with 11.

UNBSJ put up a good fight having Luke O'Grady (Eastern Barrie, ON) with 22 kills to keep them alive, but it wasn't enough to keep the Tommies from prevailing.

The Tommies and Seawolves will begin the new year on January 16th at 8:00pm at the Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium.
