Nicholas Larade Takes Over St. Thomas XC and Track

St. Thomas Athletics is pleased to announce Nicholas Larade will be taking over the head coaching duties for the Cross Country Running and Track teams.

Nicholas ran competitively for UNB Cross Country and Track and Field, and continues to run competitively in road races throughout New Brunswick. He has been the manager at the Fredericton Running Room for over seven years and during this time has coached hundreds of new and intermediate runners on developing better running form, training plans, and nutrition regimens to help them complete distances from 5km to the marathon. In addition, he has helped many runners and teams as a sport psychology consultant to develop mental skills such as goal setting, positive self-talk, visualization, and team cohesion. "We are very impressed with Nicholas' desire and passion for coaching. We have had some great coaching in the past, but need to establish consistency. We look forward to seeing the program grow under his leadership," said STU Athletic Director, Michael Eagles.

Nicholas is excited for the opportunity to coach the St. Thomas Cross Country and Track team and sees it as an opportunity to develop a strong running program.

"Fredericton is a great city for running, with many locations available for a wide range of training for developing competitive runners," he said.  "I also sees the program as an excellent opportunity to apply my current coaching and consulting skills in a position where I can grow with the team, as well."
