The St. Thomas University Tommies were bested 79-43 by the Ste. Foy Dynamiques in CCAA exhibition women's basketball action Saturday morning in Quebec.

It was back and forth in the first quarter, but the Dynamiques pulled away in the second for a 33-16 lead at the break.

A slow start in the third, combined with strong outside shooting from the Dynamiques, put the Tommies in tough for the second half. Despite their effort, they weren't able to close the gap.

Madison Owens led the Tommies with 10 points in the loss. Jayme Hunt added seven, while Lainy Dow chipped in with six.
