Tommies Drop 67-52 Decision to Mounties in Final Game of Ken Gould Invitational

The St. Thomas University Tommies suffered a tough 67-52 loss to the Mount Allison Mounties in their final game of the Ken Gould Invitational.

Alana Dowling, the leading scorer for the Tommies and a tournament All-Star, tossed in nine points to go along with two assists. Player of the Game for the Mounties Sarah McGeachy collected 11 points in the win.

The teams were evenly matched in the first half, playing to a  27-27 tie after the first half. The Mounties pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Tommies 23-13 in the frame.

The Tommies and Mounties will meet again in the 2017-2018 season opener Saturday, November 4.
