Tommies Top Blue Devils 74-5 in Halifax

The St. Thomas University Tommies earned their second win of the season, topping the University of King's College Blue Devils 74-5 in ACAA women's rugby action Sunday afternoon in Halifax.

Though Kings was able to put one in the end zone early in the second half, the rest of the day's scoring belonged to the Tommies.

Emily Donelle led the Tommies with six conversions and one try for 17 points. Jessica Sauter had three tries, while Olivia Ricketts and Victoria Mackenzie added two tries each. Rounding out the scoring for the Tommies was Meghan Pollard, Megan Gullison, Abbie LeBlanc, and Melissa Totten who had one try apiece, and Kianna Laurin who chipped in with a convert. 

Ariel Greenblat was the lone scorer for UKC.

The Tommies are back in action Monday, October 9 when they host the Blue Devils at Scotiabank Park South.
