The St. Thomas Tommies women's soccer team fell to the University of Kings College Blue Devils by a score of 1-0 in a tight defensive match.

The first and only goal of the match came in the 50 minute when UKC defender Gabrielle Doucet rifled a shot from the top of the 18 yard box to the top corner of the Tommies net. The Tommies tried to responde but to no avail.

The play was controlled in the midfield where both defences were air tight. The Blue Devils and the Tommies were playing with a conservative strategy in an attempt to keep the opposing team off the scoreboard.

The Tommies resume play Sunday, October 16 when they host the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics at 12:00 PM at Scotiabank Field South.
