The St. Thomas University Tommies tied the University of Kings College Blue Devils 1-1 in ACAA women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Park South.

The Blue Devils struck first when striker Jill Curley got a piece of the ball and sent it to the back of the Tommies net for a 1-0 lead. The goal marked the first one allowed by the Tommies this season.

STU responded later in the game when midfielder Katie MacDermaid lofted the ball over Blue Devils' keeper Danielle Arsenau to tie the game in the 83rd minute.

The game was played evenly in both ends with both teams generating great scoring opportunities to take the lead, but neither team could capitalize.

The Tommies are back in action next weekend when they visit the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves at 1:00pm.
