The St. Thomas University Tommies topped the Crandall University Chargers 2-1 in ACAA women's soccer action Wednesday night at Scotiabank Park South.
Sarah Hickman delivered the Tommies' first goal of the game in the 14th minute to help her squad gain a 1-0 lead. The Tommies didn't stop there as Moira Kinney netted her first of the season, putting the Tommies up 2-0.
The Chargers cut their deficit in half in the 90th minute off a kick from striker Megan Smith.
The Tommies outshot the Chargers 5-2 in the game.
The Tommies are back in action this Saturday when they visit the Holland College Hurricanes in Charlottetown. The Chargers will face the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in Halifax.
