Tommies Track Earn PBs and Set New STU Records at JSA Moncton Open

The St. Thomas University Tommies put forth a stellar performance at the Jump Start Athletics Moncton Open.

The meet was highlighted by a first-place finish by Hannah Clarke, Kelly Brennan, Sarah Hickman, and Grace Baker in the 4*200 relay, who clocked in at 1:59.24—less than one second away from the STU record.

Hickman ran her way into the STU record books, setting the new standard in the 200m dash with a time of 28.95. Second-year runner Chelsey Hall also established a new STU benchmark in the 3000m, beating the previous record of 11:59.10 previously held by Kyla Tanner. 

On the men's side, Philip Schwenteck ran a personal best in the 200m with a time of 25.96. He also came through in the 300m, crossing the line in 40.87 for a second place finish.
