Mystics Continue Winning Ways Against Tommies

The St. Thomas women's volleyball team hosted their second home game of the season on Sunday against the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics.

The Mystics were successful in taking the match 3-0. Set scores were: 25-22, 25-11 and 25-12.

In an effort to rebuild with a handful of new recruits this season, the Tommies have used their first two losses of the season as a learning experience.

After a strong start in the first set, the Tommies' momentum was lost. Megan Mills (Fredericton, NB), Cloée Daigle (St Louis de Kent) and Hannah Millier (Fredericton, NB) had 3 kills each, but unforced errors and communication issues for the team collectively led to their loss.

Mystics' Madison Urquhart led her team with a total of 11 kills. MSVU had consistent coverage of the court and made impressive saves.

These two teams won't have to wait long to face each other again, as the Tommies will head to Halifax to face this Mystics squad Sunday November 4th.
