Tommies Finish AUS Cross Country Campaign Strong

For the first time in three years the St Thomas University Tommies placed as a team during the AUS Championships. Led by Abigail Donnelly (Lake George, NB) who finished 39th in the women's 8km, the Tommies had a strong race.

"Both teams did well. I'm so proud of everyone because of how we did," said team captain Jensen Elliot (Digby, NS). "The course was awesome and it was quite fast. The conditions were clear and we took advantage of that."

"Every one ran a personal or season best today," said first year head coach Nick Larade. "Our athletes came a long way in a short period of time (especially for the new runners)."

With the AUS championship run finished, Larade will now focus on the Tommies' track team, where some of his cross country runners will compete.
