STU Sweep Crandall in Final Home Match of 2022

MONCTON, NB -  The Stu Tommies came into Moncton Sunday evening to hand the Crandall Chargers a 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-15) loss.

 

Janelle Blanchette maintained her role as the team leader in points and kills, recording 11 kills on 29 swings. Blanchette also led the team in defensive digs, going down to clean up 7 attacks. 

 

Amy LeBlang was all over the court for the Chargers, repeatedly chasing down second-touch balls and continuously showcasing acrobatic finesse while also being the court general ensuring everyone was aware of STU's threats. 

 

Kathleen Boyle led the Tommies with 12 kills on 26 swings and went above the net for a blocking assist. 

 

Julia Campbell was consistently able to set up her hitters, collecting 21 of 29 total assists for STU.

 

The Chargers ended the first semester and now head into an almost two-month break before returning to the court in mid-January. Going into the break the Chargers have a 1-7 record. With talented players on the roster the Chargers have the ability to be competitive and win but for the time being, will look to regroup and find their rhythm over the break.
