ACAA basketball

The St. Thomas University Tommies defeated the UNBSJ Seawolves 75-70 in ACAA men's basketball action Sunday at UNBSJ.

The Tommies had five players in double digits including Geoffrey Lavoisier who poured in 15 points and had 8 rebounds to lead the way for the winners.  Ian Watters with 13 points and 6 rebounds,  Almin Dervisevic 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, Michael Otoo 11 points, 6 rebounds and Ted Braden 10 points also made significant contributions for the Tommies.

Adam Lambert was the top scorer for the Seawolves for the second consecutive game. He  scored 16 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Tanner Hoyt who had 14 points, Jacob Vickers 13 and Jack Fury-Miller 11 points and 7 rebounds also paced the Seawolves. 

The Tommies won their third game in a row to improve to 8-3 and solidify their hold on 3rd place while the injury-plagued Seawolves lost another close one and remain in 7th place with a 1-10 record.

 

The Seawolves next game will be February 1 when the UKC Blue Devils come to town for a 4:00 PM matchup. The Tommies also play at 4:00 PM on the 1st of February when they visit Crandall for a game against the Chargers.
