The first place STU Tommies beat the UNBSJ Seawolves 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23) in ACAA men"s volleyball action Saturday in Saint John. A big crowd was on hand as part of Residence Appreciation Weekend and they were treated to some great volleyball.

The Tommies were in control throughout the match. The Seawolves made a strong push to get back into it with a spirited and entertaining third set but came up just short.

Christian Christie had a big night for the Tommies with 13 kills and 6 digs. Dallas Melnick chipped in with 9 kills, Henry Doucet added 32 asssits and 2 aces and Nathan Brown finished with 12 digs. 

The Tommies are well clear of all other teams with a stellar 10-1 record. The Seawolves sit in fourth place with a 3-8 record.

The next action for both teams is February 8 when the Tommies host Holland College and the Seawolves host the USA Dragons. Both matches are at 4:00 PM.
