Personal Bests for Tommies Sets Stage for AUS Championships

[Saint John, NB] In the last exhibition action of the season, the STU Tommies Track and Field team took a small squad of athletes for final tune-up races at the UNB and SJTC Twilight Meet. With the AUS Championships just over a week away, this meet was a great opportunity for the runners to put in final physical and mental preparations.

Tristan Sutherland ran a new personal best in the 60m with 7.65, besting his previous time of 7.68. In the 300m, Santanna Rafuse and Alexander Gallant set personal bests in 47.25 and 43.57, while Grace Baker had a season best in 46.85.

The 600m saw a new season best from Julia MacDonald in 2:34.12 and a new personal best from Ravtej Singh in 1:31.91. Tristan Eisnor closed out the events for the Tommies with a personal best of 11:03.28 in the 3000m.

The Tommies will return to Saint John for the 2020 Subway AUS Track and Field Championships on February 21st and 22nd.
