Tommies Remain Undefeated with 3-0 Victory Over Hurricanes

The St. Thomas University men's volleyball team achieved their sixth straight win, with three successful sets in a row, Saturday evening at home against the Holland Hurricanes. Set scores were 27-25, 25-21, 25-21.

The Tommies were led to victory by #12 Christian Christie (Langley, BC), who chimed in with 11 kills and 6 digs, as well as Ben Singer (Halifax, NS) and Nathan Brown (Fredericton, NB) who collected 14 kills collectively.

The first set was very close between the two teams, with the Tommies making several service errors. It was in the second set that the Holland Hurricanes also began making service errors, which carried into the following sets.

Both teams received technical fouls throughout the match, but managed to maintain consistency in rallies and attacks.

The Hurricanes were led by #1 Jeff MacDonald who tallied 6 kills, and #7 Aaron Pugh who received 9 digs throughout the match.

The two teams will meet again in back-to-back action at home on Sunday, November 25 with first serve beginning at 2:00 pm.
