Emma Wilson (Midhurst, ON) has committed to play hockey for the St. Thomas University Tommies in the 2019-20 season.

The 5’5” forward currently leads the Barrie Sharks, of Provincial Women’s Hockey League, with 9 points in 12 games. Wilson was the captain of the 2018 Under 19 Ontario White provincial ball hockey team and was an assistant captain for the Under 20 Canadian National ball hockey team.

“Emma currently leads her team in scoring and she does so with a tenacious drive for the net," said head coach Peter Murphy. "She immediately impresses you with her puck pursuit, but she also has a great scoring touch and can also set a play.  Emma was also the leading scorer and selected to the All-Star team at the Canadian Ball Hockey Junior Nationals that were hosted in Fredericton.”

Wilson will join the Tommies following this season and is eager to don the Green and Gold.

“I chose St. Thomas University because of its excellent reputation and its location in the capital city of Fredericton,” said Wilson. “STU has great school spirit, challenging academics, a beautiful campus, and a terrific athletic program. I am excited for the opportunity to be a Tommie and contribute to the women's hockey team.”
