Mary Kim Schriver To Coach STU Women's Rugby

St. Thomas University Alumna Mary Kim Schriver will take over the Head Coaching duties for the St. Thomas Women's Rugby program in 2019. Mary Kim who achieved her BA and B Ed at St. Thomas is looking forward to building on what has been a strong program. "This team comes with a wealth of experience, clearly from a long line of previous coaching direction and expertise. I'm eager to set goals with the other coaches and the team for the upcoming season."

Coaches Meghan Morrison and Steph Carey decided to step down after a great run, with the last four seasons, losing to UNB in the league finals.

Mary Kim, a teacher at Nackawic High School, comes to STU after having previously coached at the High School level in Nackawic and Hartland. A former player with the Tommies helped fuel the desire to return to her alma mater and give back to the program.

Athletic Director Michael Eagles is looking forward to Mary Kim's leadership and vision for the future. "I have had some great conversations with Mary Kim and look forward to working with her and her coaching staff to continue to build on the solid foundation that Coach Morrison has established."
