Title: Head Coach

Entering her 4th season with the Tommies, Rebecca (Keswick Ridge, NB/England, UK)began her journey with the Women’s Rugby program in 2016 as an athlete. She competed annually while completing her BA at St. Thomas University and was an ACAA All-Conference player and received the Most Valuable Player award. From there, she moved into the Assistant Coach position for the 2020-21 season before being appointed as Head Coach for the 2022-23 season. She is an active coach in the Fredericton community, she coaches the Fredericton High School Women’s Program, the U17 Loyalist Women’s Program, former Oromocto High School Women’s Program, and the Fredericton Loyalist Her’d Program.

Rebecca brings with her a wealth of knowledge and over 12 years of playing experience at various levels. She began playing at Fredericton High School, then with the U18 NB Provincial Spruce Program, and Fredericton Loyalist RFC. She then joined the STU Tommies, Capital Region Rugby Academy, and the NB Senior Women Spruce Program. Rebecca has attended clinics with Jack Hanratty, the head coach of the Canada’s Senior Women’s Team.

She continues to play throughout the summer.

Having received a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University, Rebecca is currently concluding a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University, extending into a Master of Social Work. She currently works in Child Welfare with a private company.
