The St. Thomas University Tommies had a successful showing at the Miramichi 5k road race on Sunday.

Ryan Terry won the men's race with a time of 17:53, while Alaina Mejia was the third overall female finisher, crossing the line at 22:42.

Brynn Gilmour, who was running in her first 5K, finished as the fourth female overall with a sub 23-minute time of 22:45.

Jensen Elliott rounded out the Tommies runners, finishing as the fifth female overall and posting a 4-minute personal best in a time of 23:23.

The next University XC race for the STU team will be on October 14 at StFX in Antigonish, NS.
