Tommies Edge Rams 75-71 at Home

The St. Thomas University Tommies edged the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams 75-71 in ACAA men's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

It was a back and forth game, with the Rams holding a 39-36 lead at the break. The Tommies took the lead late, and despite a push from the Rams, held on for the four-point win.

Mitch Claybourn sparked the Tommies with 34 points and seven rebounds. Sam Drummond continued his strong play, netting 15 points to go along with five rebounds.

JC Broussard paced the Rams with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Neel Amin and Robin Grouse had 13 apiece. 

The Tommies are back in action Sunday when they face the UNBSJ Seawolves in Saint John. Game time is 3:00 pm.
