Geoffrey Lavoie (Ottawa, ON) has ended his ACAA career with his first career Player of the Year award.
Lavoie, a fifth year forward, went on a rampage to end the Tommies season. In February, Lavoie scored at least 15 points in each game which included a 31-point performance against the UNBSJ Seawolves.
Throughout the month, he averaged 21.6 PPG on a 57% field goal percentage with 4.6 RPG and 2 SPG. He also kept control of the ball, limiting his turnovers to just 1.7 per game.
The Tommies finished the month 6-1, going on a six-game winning streak. They’d finish the season at 13-5, first in the ACAA.
Lavoie’s total stats to end the season consisted of 16.7 PPG, sixth in the ACAA, along with 5.7 RPG, 2.2 APG on a 51.4% FG%.
“I don’t know what else to say other than I’m excited,” Lavoie said.
