Women's Basketball Bolster Backcourt with Addition of Bridget Frazee

The St. Thomas Tommies women's basketball team has bolstered its backcourt with the addition of Sussex, NB, product Bridget Frazee.

What drew Tommies head coach Fred Connors to Frazee was her ability to defend.

"Bridget will add some much needed scoring and shooting, while fitting in well with our aggressive style of defence."

Frazee, who came up through the Sussex Regional High School basketball program, also brings a wealth of basketball experience to the Tommies. She played for the New Brunswick U15 team in 2013 and has spent three years competing with Sussex's varsity team, which claimed the NBIAA silver medal in 2015.

This season, Frazee was named a Dairy Town Classic all-star and a Riverboat Tournament all-star.

"We are very excited to have Bridget come to St. Thomas. She's a close friend of alumnus Hayley Doney, who played a pivotal role in our 2008-09 championship team, so we know she understands the work ethic that's required to meet our goals," Connors said. "She's had great success with the provincial programs and will add another offensive threat to our team."

Frazee joins Leo Hayes's Taylor Forsythe and Fredericton High School's Madison Owens in the Tommies' 2016-17 recruiting class.
