DeCourcey adds Dartmouth Defender to 2019 line-up

This recruiting release is brought to you by:

Talia Corkum has committed to play of St. Thomas Women's Soccer in 2019. Corkum comes to STU from Dartmouth, NS and is pleased to be coming to St. Thomas. "For me, attending a smaller school is great because it is purely focused on liberal arts and I felt that like that would give me more of an opportunity to focus in on the subjects I am really interested in. "

Talia has always wanted to play university soccer and is looking forward to joining the team.  "Being a part of an amazing group of women while playing the sport I love is one of the things I am most excited for. I have friends that always talk about how much they love their teams and I have heard so many great things about STU’s soccer program."

Head Coach Michele DeCourcey is looking forward to having another strong and experienced defender join our squad this season. "Talia comes to us with some excellent playing experience, having come up through AAA leagues in Nova Scotia with United Dartmouth FC. She'll be developing her game this summer, playing in the Nova Scotia senior women's league."

Coach DeCourcey also adds: "we expect that Talia will be a great fit for our team and look forward to seeing her excel in this environment."

The defending ACAA silver medallist STU Women's Soccer team will open up training camp in August with their first home game at Scotiabank Park South on Sunday September 15th against rivals UNB Saint John Seawolves at 12pm.
