Tommies This Week October 11-17

Friday, October 12th
Women’s Hockey @ UPEI 7:00pm

The women’s hockey team opens their regular season on the road in PEI. The Tommies ousted the Panthers in the first round of last year’s AUS playoffs. A veteran Tommies squad will look to repeat their success over the Panthers.

Saturday, October 13th
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country @ UdeM 12:00pm and 12:45pm

Both teams will look to continue their improvement as each runner who competed in both the StFX and UNB/STU meets improved their times. This is their last meet before AUS Championships in Halifax at the end of October.

Women’s Basketball vs UNBSJ 1:00

In a pre Ken Gould tune-up game, the lady Tommies will face their main rival, the UNBSJ Seawolves. Action begins at 1:00pm at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Women’s Soccer vs MSVU 2:00pm *Think Pink Game*

The women’s soccer team hosts a battle for top seed, as the Mystics and Tommies sit atop the ACAA standings with 22 points each.

Men’s Soccer vs MSVU 4:00pm *Think Pink Game*

In a heated playoff picture the men will host one of the teams they are battling for a playoff spot with. The Mystics and Tommies are separated by two points in the standings, and the Tommies will be looking to leapfrog them in the standings.

Sunday, October 14th
Women’s Soccer vs UKC 12:00pm

The ladies will look to push their lead over the Blue Devils in the standings. UKC is fighting for a playoff spot, and this weekend will go a long way in determining their playoff future.

Men’s Soccer vs UKC 2:00pm

In a scenario very similar to Saturday’s game the Tommies sit right behind the Blue Devils in the standings, one point back. Another huge game for the Tommies to determine playoff standings.

Men’s Rugby @UPEI 2:00pm

The men’s rugby team will travel to PEI looking to build off a strong game against UNB. The Panthers beat the Tommies earlier this season in Fredericton.

Women’s Rugby @ UNB 2:00pm

The Tommies will look to return the favour after the Reds handed them a defeat at Scotiabank Park South earlier this season; the only loss for the Tommies so far this season.

Women’s Hockey @ UNB 2:00pm

Marking the first matchup between these two cross campus rivals since the return of the Reds, there will be several storylines to follow in this game.
