Tommies Fall 98-60 to Mystics

The St. Thomas University Tommies fell 98-60 to the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in ACAA men's basketball action Saturday night at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym. 

The Tommies struggled offensively, shooting 34 percent from the field compared to the Mystics' 54 percent. Turnovers were also an issue for the Green and Gold--they had 19 in the game, which led to 24 points for the Mystics. 

Ashton Slawter sparked the Mystics with a game-high 27 points to go along with five rebounds and four steals. Duan Fornier added 15 points and three assists in the win. 

The Tommies were led by Mitch Claybourn, who had 16 points in a losing cause.

The Green and Gold are back in action tomorrow when they host the Crandall University Chargers at 6:00 pm.
