STU Begins Search for Men’s Basketball Coach

Scott MacLeod is stepping down as head coach of the St. Thomas University Tommies men’s basketball team.

"After 19 seasons with the program, both Scott and I came to the mutual decision that the time was right for a change," said Mike Eagles, Athletics Director at the university.

Prior to taking over as head coach four years ago, MacLeod spent 15 years as an assistant coach to Dwight Dickinson. He was an integral part of four ACAA championship teams, as well as the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association silver medal winning team from 2003-2004 and bronze medal team from 2011-2012.

“I want to thank Scott for his long-standing contribution to the development of our program and for his tremendous dedication to STU over nearly two decades,” added Eagles.

Eagles said that he would begin the search for a new coach immediately.
