The St. Thomas Tommies and UPEI Panthers played to a 23-23 draw in wet conditions Sunday afternoon in Charlottetown.
The Tommies trailed 20-13 at the half, but used their depth in the second to get back in the game. The tying try came in the 72 minute and was followed by a lengthy goal line stand by the Panthers, which STU held off to preserve the tie.
Fourth-year centre Austin Comeau was named the man of the match for his three tries and over 20 tackles--four of which came within one minute.
The Tommies are back in action Friday, September 30 when they host UNB at Scotiabank Park South. Game time is 8:00 pm.
