SEASON RECAP: Tommies Make Second Straight NB Rugby Final Appearance

The men's rugby team at St. Thomas University had another successful season, making its second consecutive appearance in the New Brunswick Rugby final.

The Tommies put up a strong fight, but fell 42-17 to the UNB Ironmen and finished second in the conference.

The team's focus throughout the season was on process, with an emphasis on maintaining their offense and fine tuning their defence. Aside from a couple lopsided losses at the hands of UNB, the team was able to score 103 points and finished the regular season with a record of 1-4-1.

With this year's strong recruiting class, the Tommies will build on this foundation and continue to work towards a New Brunswick championship in 2017-18.
