It was a rebuilding year for the St. Thomas University Tommies men's soccer team in 2016-17.

After earning the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association silver medal in 2015-16, the program had a large turnover that saw the addition of eight new faces to the roster.

Although the rookie class brought with them high-level experience, they struggled to adjust to the physicality and pace of the game.

Despite the results on the scoreboard, the Tommies saw much growth that will make the young core a promising group to watch in coming seasons.
