After a season that saw them win a total of 1 game, the STU men’s soccer team turned things around and finished the 2018-19 regular season with a record of 7-2-3, good for second in the ACAA.
The Tommies will face 3rd seeded UKC Blue Devils on Saturday, October 27th at 4:45 in Halifax, NS in their semifinal matchup.
The Tommies were +14 in scoring differential after scoring 22 goals and only allowing 8. UKC on the other hand, was only +2 on the year, scoring 16 goals and giving up 14.
In their previous matchups the Tommies were 1-1, losing in Halifax on September 8th to open the season, and then defeating UKC in Fredericton 1-0 on October 14th. Both matches came down to late penalty kicks for each of the winning teams.
