Tommies Continue Retooling With Addition of Druart

Name: Ethan Druart

Hometown: Moncton, NB

Position: CB

Prospective Program: Criminology and Education

Tommies soccer program continues their retooling with another strong addition to their busy offseason.  Ethan Drusart is coming to the Tommies from the Codiac Soccer Club in Moncton and coach John-Ryan Morrison is extremely happy with the signing.

With my Co-Captain Eric graduating, I knew I needed to find a talented soccer player but at the same time really focus on recruiting a player who may eventually be able to fill the huge leadership gap that will be felt when Eric’s graduates,” said Morrison. “I believe Ethan is that guy. He has captained his Codiac team at U17 CSA Nationals, captained his team to a silver medal in AAA high school provincials and when not killing it in the classroom, he is giving back to his community. He comes from a very nice family and everyone I spoke to in the Moncton soccer community all spoke very highly. I think he is one of the top one to three New Brunswick recruits available and it shows how far our program has come that he has chosen STU.

A lean centreback, Druart is looking forward to joining the Tommies

When going on a tour I really enjoyed the feel of the university,” said Druart. “After the tour I was able to watch one of the men’s soccer teams fixtureand be a part of their locker room before the game. From this point on I was immediately hooked on joining the squad and university.

Druart’s soccer resume includes back to back U17 New Brunswick Soccer Provincial Championships and attending the Toyota National Championships in 2018 and 2019.

I hope to bring my energy and dedication to the team to improve as a player and a person, and to ultimately do my best to help the squad reach their goals,” added Druart.
