SEASON RECAP: Tommies Track and Field Team has "Record-Breaking" Year

The Tommie's Track and Field team concluded another successful indoor season this winter, which saw 13 school records broken and overall improvements in individual performances.

Brandon LeBlanc set the new STU standard in the 400 meter and 600 meter with times of 54:04 and 1:27:20, respectively, while rookie Ryan Terry ran his way into the university record books with a time of 9:28:14 in the 3000.

In field competition, Cowan Donovan established the new Tommie benchmark in weight throw with a distance of 12.71 meters.

Competing for the first time at the Halifax Open meet, the Tommie's sought to make a statement in new territory. Strong performances from rookie and returning athletes propelled the team to new heights in competition.

The team aims to continue their success next winter.
