The St. Thomas University Tommies downed the Universite Sainte-Anne Dragons in ACAA men's volleyball action Saturday at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Set scores were 25-8, 25-19, and 25-16.

The Tommies were dominant from first serve and cruised through the opening set en route to a 1-0 lead.

The match got tighter as the play went on and the Dragons rallied late to get back into the second set only to be beaten 25-19.

Despite a quick start from the Dragons, the third and final set became lopsided again as the Tommies executed their offence efficiently to close out the match.

Stephane Blinn had a big day for the Tommies, generating 15 kills in the win. Leading the way for the Dragons was Anthony Jacques, who tallied 10 kills.

The Tommies are back in action next Saturday when they host the first place Holland College Hurricanes.
