The St. Thomas University Tommies defeated the Holland College Hurricanes 3-2 in an exciting ACAA men's volleyball match Sunday afternoon at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Holland College took the first set 25-21 after the Tommies mounted a comeback that fell just short.

The Green and Gold rebounded quickly in the second and third sets, taking them 25-18 and 25-16 for a 2-1 lead in the match.

The fourth set was fought in the middle, with both teams trading points in an attempt to take the lead. The Hurricanes eventually found an edge and cruised to a 25-18 win.

The Tommies took the tie-breaking set handily, winning 15-9.

Steph Blinn led all Tommies with 22 kills, while Gordon Veitch of the Hurricanes led Holland College with 15.
