Four St. Thomas University cross country runners travelled with the Motley Crew Running Club to the StFX Invitational in Antigonish, Saturday afternoon. 

Tommies cross country captain Paul Nozicka finished fifteenth out of 51 university runners, with a time of 28:34 – a big improvement over his time of 29:03 in 2014. Stefen Savoy was the next Tommie to cross the finish line, placing 37th in 31:59. Cowan Donovan competed on the course for the first time and finished in 37:03 and rounding out the Tommies was Nathaniel Legere, who hit the finish line in 42:03. 

The STU cross country team has their first official team race next Sunday when they will travel to Miramichi for a 5K road race.
